Recognizing the individual needs and abilities of students is a very important issue in the planning and organization of the educational process. Knowledge gathered about students, their needs and abilities, preferred learning styles and environmental components can contribute to raising the quality of education and upbringing. The main problem addressed by the author is recognizing of the extent to which early childhood education teachers are prepared to explore the psychophysical abilities and learning needs of the child to recognize the risk of specific learning difficulties (including dyslexia risk) at the first stage of education. The central idea has become recognition of the knowledge and views of teachers in carrying out diagnostic procedures, symptoms of specific learning difficulties and methods of working with children with developmental dyslexia. The study was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods. The study used the method of a diagnostic survey with the technique of the questionnaire and individual interviews. In the study took part professionally active teachers of early childhood education.

DOI: 10.19251/ne/2020.32(7) The aim of this article was to attempt to diagnose the internal condition of the “X” University using the SWOT-TOWS analysis, indicating the strengths and weaknesses of the business, as well as determining the opportunities and threats that may appear in its external environment. As a result of the analysis the authors came to the conclusion that the examined organizations houldadoptanaction strategy based on its strengths and opportunities. This combination was granted the highest score in terms of the sum of interactions and the sum of products. The obtained aggregate results also let draw the conclusion that the most desirable development option for the X University is the adoption of an aggressive strategy.

DOI: 10.19251/ne/2020.32(7) Celem artykułu było podjęcie próby dotyczącej diagnozy kondycji wewnętrznej Uczelni Wyższej „X” przy wykorzystaniu analizy SWOT – TOWS, wskazując na silne i słabe strony prowadzonej działalności, a także określając szanse i zagrożenia, mogące pojawić się w jej otoczeniu zewnętrznym. W wyniku analizy, Autorzy doszli do wniosku, że badana organizacja powinna przyjąć strategię działania opierającą się na jej mocnych stronach i szansach. Kombinacja ta otrzymała najwyższy wynik pod względem sumy interakcji i sumy iloczynów. Uzyskane wyniki zbiorcze upoważniają również do wniosku, że najbardziej pożądanym wariantem rozwoju dla Uczelni Wyższej X jest przyjęcie strategii agresywnej.

Istotą zarządzania strategicznego jest zapewnienie sukcesu przedsiębiorstwa w horyzoncie strategicznym. Zarządzanie strategiczne redukuje w znacznym stopniu niepewność, której źródłem jest otoczenie przedsiębiorstwa. Analiza SWOT, jako jej narzędzie, jest kompleksową analizą, dopuszczającą swobodę w doborze technik oraz procedur. Szukanie najlepszych strategii rozwoju zajmuje bardzo dużo czasu, a brak doświadczenia i odpowiedniej wiedzy z tego zakresu przyczyniają się do błędnych wniosków. Celem artykułu jest opis jednej z technik analitycznych: analizy SWOT i jej roli w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem na przykładzie firmy X aplikującej jako firma innowacyjna do OPNT. Z analizy teoretycznej i praktycznej w artykule wynika, że innowacyjność wpływa na rozwój firmy, kształtuje pozycję rynkową oraz prowadzi do uzyskania przewagi konkurencyjnej. Innowacje stanowią podstawę konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstwa.

The essence of strategic management is the economic success of a given enterprise on the strategic level. Strategic management substantially reduces uncertainties resulting from the business environment. SWOT analysis as a tool is a comprehensive analysis which allows for a certain selective range of techniques and proceedings. to achieve one’s goals. Working out the most effective stratagems for a company’s development is a time-consuming process, and the lack in experience and appropriate know-how in a given area may result in fallacious conclusions and decisions. This paper presents SWOT analysis and its importance in business management on the example of X-Company, which, as an innovative enterprise, applies for the Olsztyński Park Naukowo-Technologiczny (OPN-T). As theoretical and practical analysis reveal, innovativeness contributes significantly to the company’s development, strengthens the marketpositioning and provides competitive advantages. Innovations lay the foundations for business competitiveness.
