Kluczowym elementem odpowiedniego planowania rozwoju szkoły jest przemyślane i dobrze zorganizowane rozeznanie potrzeb potencjalnych przyszłych uczniów. Odpowiedzią na rozpoznanie oczekiwań może być przeprowadzona w szkole ewaluacja wewnętrzna w postaci sondażu diagnostycznego, dotycząca oczekiwań wobec szkoły i poziomu ich spełnienia. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań dotyczących poziomu zainteresowania sportem uczniów szkoły, oraz próbę określenia, w jakim stopniu szkoła spełnia oczekiwania dzieci. Badania przeprowadzono w szkole sportowej, wśród uczniów szkoły podstawowej, gimnazjum i liceum ogólnokształcącego z oddziałami sportowymi. Okazało się, że zdecydowana większość uczniów szkoły podstawowej i gimnazjum interesuje się sportem w stopniu bardzo dobrym, dobrym i najwyższym, natomiast na tym samym poziomie zainteresowania w liceum ogólnokształcącym znalazła się ponad połowa badanych. Poziom oczekiwań wobec szkoły i czynniki wpływające na wybór szkoły były zróżnicowane i zależne od typu szkoły. W gimnazjum i liceum ogólnokształcącym połowa badanych określiła, że szkoła spełnia ich oczekiwania, druga połowa zaś zupełnie odwrotnie. Natomiast w szkole podstawowej dwie trzecie uczniów twierdzi, że szkoła spełnia ich oczekiwania.

One of the main elements of ensuring proper school development is certainly well-organized recruitment. The answer to the recognition of expectations can be the internal evaluation carried out at the school in the form of a diagnostic survey, regarding the expectations of the school and the level of their fulfillment. This article presents the results of research on the level of interest in sports of school pupils, and whether the school meets the expectations of children. The research was carried out in a sports school, among primary school students, middle school and general high school with sports departments. It turned out that the vast majority of primary and middle school students are interested in sport to a very good and highest degree, while at the same level of interest in the general high school there were more than half of the respondents. The level of expectations towards the school and the factors influencing the choice of school varied and depended on the type of school. In junior high school and general secondary school, some of the respondents, according to which the school met and did not meet their expectations, divided schools into half. In primary school, two-thirds of students say that the school meets their expectations.

Jednym z głównych elementów zapewnienia odpowiedniego rozwoju szkoły jest z pewnością dobrze przemyślana i zorganizowana rekrutacja, szczególnie trudna w szkołach o określonym profilu. Rozpoznanie czynników powodujących podjęcie określonej decyzji przez potencjalnych uczniów ułatwi przygotowanie odpowiedniej dla nich oferty. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań diagnostycznych dotyczących przyczyn, jakie zdecydowały o wyborze szkoły sportowej, wskazuje motywy oraz osoby, które miały decydujący wpływ na tę decyzję. Badania przeprowadzono w szkole sportowej, wśród uczniów szkoły podstawowej, gimnazjum i liceum ogólnokształcącego. Okazuje się, że głównym powodem wyboru tejże szkoły jest możliwość połączenia edukacji ze sportem i tym samym możliwość realizacji programu nauczania z jednoczesną realizacją programu szkoleniowego. Nie bez znaczenia jest też lokalizacja szkoły. Szczególny wpływ na wybór szkoły mieli bliscy uczniów; niespełna co czwarty badany stwierdził, że to była samodzielna decyzja.

One of the main elements ensuring appropriate school development is well-considered and wellorganised enrolment, which is especially hard to achieve in specialised schools. Recognition of factors involved in the decision-making process of potential students may simplify preparation of an appropriate offer for them. This article presents research results concerning reasons that influenced the choice of a sports school, including motives and people staying behind it.The research was conducted in a sports school, among students of primary school, junior high school and high school. The research proves that the main reason for choosing this school is a possibility of combining education with sport, which, therefore, allows to realise a curriculum simultaneously with a training programme. The school location is also important. Students’ relatives had a particular influence on the school choice, whereas almost every forth student claimed that this had been their own decision.
