Culinary tourism is a part of cultural tourism. This is a popular way of learning more and more about the world. It is divided into: wine tourism, beer tourism, culinary routes and culinary festivals. The purpose of culinary tourism is to learn about different cultures. While travelling, it is possible to tour factories, wineries, food processing plants, factories of vodka and beer. It is possible to learn about the processes of food production, to taste various dishes, drinks and to ask producers about technologies of production. Development of culinary tourism has contributed to the creation of the thematic culinary routes, for example: cheese, fruit, herbs, tea, chocolate, coffee, beer, wine routes all over the world. The important elements of culinary tourism are: festivals, gastronomic competitions, galas and culinary fairs.
