Previous studies have shown that economical behaviours among the adults depend on temporal perspective they take. Taking this into account, it was predicted that temporal perspective can play an important role also when explaining different economic education practices employed by the partents when educating their childrem. The aim of the current study was to look at the relationship between temporal perspectivs of the parents and their strategies of economic education of their children. In this survey study 108 parents of children aged between 10 and 12 years old took part (755 mothers and 33 fathers). The results showed that future-negative perspective is connected with a later onset of economic education of the child, whereas future and present-hedonistic perspectives are related to an earlier onset of economic education of the children. It should be noted, however, that the applied practices of economic education are different among people with a strong future perspective and present-hedonistic perspective.

The aim of the studies presented in this article was to determine the extent of a burnout of parents with children with developmental disorders and the analysis of the relationship between burnout syndrome and temporal perspectives pattern. The theoretical basis of the project was a theory by Philip Zimbardo, which suggests that temporal perspectives (past, present, and future) influence cognite processes and well as emotional (positive or negative) attitudes towards events and life experiences. They also regulate an optimal human functioning. The studies revealed that both increase in parental burnout syndrome as well as temporal perspective profile and relationships between those are different, depending on the type of children’s disorders.

Religiocity, being an immanent part of an individual’s personality, influences numerous aspects of psychological functioning. One of them is a temporal dimension of human existence. Being a member of a religious community in times of growing secularity encourages a reflection on motivation and specifics of religiosity of people engaged. The aim of current work is to verify the relationship between religiosity and temporal perspectives and to characterize the religiosity of young Catholics belonging to the three most popular in Poland religious communities. There were 172 participants. They filled in a questionnaire „Your religiosity”, measuring religious orientations or a „Religion Centralism” scale, which describes religion in five dimensions. Every participant also filled in a time perspective questionnaire. The analysis revealed a negative correlation between past-negative tmeporal perspective and religious engagement. An unexpected result was a positive correlation between a social aspect of religious orientation and transcendental future. Additionally, religion centralism correlated negatively with a deviant factor of temporal perspective balance. Based on the obtained results it can be suggested that among all temporal perspectives, the qualitative interpretation of one’s own past has the biggest influence on religious engagement. Another conclusion is that an important factor of religious activity is a possibility of meeting affiliation needs. Conducted analysis also allowed conclusions on the specifics of the religiosity of young Catholics.
