Autor zwięźle charakteryzuje podstawowe podobieństwa i różnice między kulturą językową ubiegłych wieków a dzisiejszą w trzech głównie obszarach: stosunku do elementów obcych w języku, higieny językowego obcowania (wulgaryzmów i obscenów w potocznej polszczyźnie rozbrzmiewającej w przestrzeni publicznej) i teoretycznych podstaw kultury języka. Kończy uwagami o ewolucji ideału języka doskonałego.

The author briefly describes the main similarities and differences between the language culture in the past and at present in three areas: relations to foreign elements in a language, linguistic intercourse hygiene (vulgarisms and obscenities in colloquial Polish language present in the public) and theoretical basis for the language culture. At the end the author describes the evolution of the ideal of a perfect language.
