The present paper outlines spectrum of research and clinical practice in the field of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy (surdologopedia) in Poland. Author stressed the importance of SLT in the expanding knowledge of the diagnosis and improving speech perception of hearing impaired. The article shows a brief history and the demands of training of Speech/Language and Hearing Therapists.

W pracy starano się ukazać zakres prac badawczych i praktyki w zakresie surdologopedii w Polsce. Podkreślono jej znaczenie w poszerzaniu wiedzy z zakresu diagnozy i usprawniania percepcji mowy osób z uszkodzonym narządem słuchu. Ukazano krótki rys historyczny i postulaty w zakresie kształcenia surdologopedów.
