This article concerns the relocation of the Capuchin monastery in Figueras in the 2nd half of the 18th century from the location allocated to the construction of the San Fernando fort. It appears that although the new site of the monastery did not directly interfere with the new project, it was opposed by the municipal government for economic reasons. The problem was related to urban water supply. Although the Capuchins had great experience and technical skills in hydraulic works, vested interests of the Aloy family came into play. At that time the Aloy family were decision makers in the town and wanted to monopolize such investments.

Artykuł traktuje o przeniesieniu klasztoru kapucynów w Figueras w drugiej połowie XVIII wieku z miejsca, które przeznaczone zostało na budowę fortu San Fernando. Okazuje się, że kolejna lokalizacja zakonna, pomimo że nie przeszkadzała w sposób bezpośredni nowej inwestycji, spotkała się z oporem władz miejskich, co miało podstawy ekonomiczne. Problem związany był z zaopatrzeniem miasta w wodę. Chociaż kapucyni posiadali duże doświadczenie i umiejętności techniczne w zakresie prac hydraulicznych, jednak w grę wchodziły także partykularne interesy rodziny Aloy, której członkowie byli w tym czasie decydentami miasta i chcieli zmonopolizować tego rodzaju inwestycje.
