There are four letters written by Maria Konopnicka between April 1883 and February 1886 in the collection of the State Archaeological Museum in Warsaw. The addressees are the members of Majewski family, the owners of a family business – the Warsaw Chemical Laboratory: Hipolit Cezary Majewski, his wife Maria Majewska née Zembrowska and sons Erazm and Stanisław. The correspondence concerns the son of Maria Konopnicka – Stanisław Konopnicki and relates to his studies and work in Majewski’s company. It also describes interaction between the poet and Erazm Majewski at that time. These are small but treasured information about biographical facts from the writer’s life and are an important source of knowledge about her personality.
