The features of the legislation of the Republic of Poland in the field of the rights protection of the national and ethnic minorities as well as persons using the regional language have been analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the political and legal aspects of the development and implementation of the Law of the Republic of Poland «On National and Ethnic Minorities and on the Regional Language.» The given article shows that Polish legislation is consistent with the generally accepted European standards in the field of minority rights protection. The problematic points of legislation that adversely affect the socio-political activities of national and ethnic minorities in Poland have been highlighted.

W pracy poddano analizie cechy prawodawstwa Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej odnoszące się do ochrony praw mniejszości narodowych i etnicznych, jak również osób używających języka regionalnego. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na aspekty dotyczące opracowania i wprowadzenia w życie ustawy o mniejszościach narodowych i etnicznych oraz o języku regionalnym. Pokazano, iż ustawodawstwo polskie odpowiada w pełni powszechnie przyjętym normom europejskim dotyczącym ochrony praw mniejszości. Wyszczególniono problematyczne punkty w prawodawstwie, jakie wpływają negatywnie na działalność społeczno-polityczną mniejszości narodowych i etnicznych w Polsce.

W pracy poddano analizie cechy prawodawstwa Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej odnoszące się do ochrony praw mniejszości narodowych i etnicznych, jak również osób używających języka regionalnego. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na aspekty dotyczące opracowania i wprowadzenia w życie ustawy o mniejszościach narodowych i etnicznych oraz o języku regionalnym. Pokazano, iż ustawodawstwo polskie odpowiada w pełni powszechnie przyjętym normom europejskim dotyczącym ochrony praw mniejszości.
