Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie istoty i wpływu zasad oznaczenia przedsiębiorcy w aspekcie znaku towarowego na funkcjonowanie przedsiębiorstwa. Współczesny rozwój gospodarczy oraz wzrastająca konkurencyjność miedzy pod-miotami gospodarczymi powodują, że znaki towarowe odgrywają ogromną rolę w ich działalności. Znaki towarowe w obrocie gospodarczym spełniają trzy zasadnicze funkcje - oznaczenia pochodzenia towaru czy usługi, gwarancyjną i reklamową. Są fundamentalnym elementem promocji i strategii tworzenia wizerunku, zarówno przedsiębiorstwa, jak i produkowanych towarów lub oferowanych usług. W niniej-szej dysertacji jako przykład chronionego znaku towarowego w formie nazwy i jedno-cześnie marki Autorka przedstawiła firmę podlaską ADAMPOL SA, której przedmiotem działalności gospodarczej są usługi logistyczne

The aim of the article is to present the essence of the principles and determi-nation of an entrepreneur in terms of the trademark on the functioning of the com-pany. Modern economic development and increasing competitiveness among busi-nesses, make trademarks play a huge role in their business. Trademarks in business transactions fulfill three basic functions: the designation of origin of the goods or services, warranty and advertising. They are a fundamental part of the promotion strategy and creating the image of both the company and manufactured goods or services offered. In this dissertation, as an example of a protected trademark in the form of the name and brand at the same time, the author presented the company from Podlasie - ADAMPOL SA, which subject of economic activity is logistics services.
