One of the many possibilities for financing environmental investment is leasing. It is a major, in addition to the loan, an external source of financing. Today, leasing is a very important form of investment implementation on the one hand for those individuals who are deficient in capital, and for those for whose use the loan for various reasons is difficult or uneconomic, on the other. Leasing despite the existence of actual benefits also shows some weaknesses. The aim of the study is to identify alternatives and enrich traditional sources of financing environmental investments. The article examines the nature of the lease, its form and the basics of operation. In the following part of the paper examines the prospects for its development.
