Konstruowanie typologii i klasyfi kacji wielowymiarowych dla potrzeb diagnostyki medycznej

Procedura typologii charakteryzowana jest w literaturze z zakresu metodologii w bardzo różny sposób. Zasadnicze różnice dotyczą warunków formalnych, jakie powinna spełniać typologia oraz związków tej procedury z klasyfi kacją wielowymiarową. Ustalenia dokonane w niniejszym artykule pozwalają omówić funkcje, jakie procedury typologii i klasyfi kacji wielowymiarowej pełnią w diagnostyce medycznej. Dokonane rozstrzygnięcia zilustrowane są przykładami typologii dwuwymiarowej stosowanej w diagnostyce nadciśnienia tętniczego oraz klasyfi kacji wielowymiarowej Forrestera przeprowadzonej w zakresie kardiologii inwazyjnej. Omówione przykłady pozwalają ukazać funkcję prognostyczną obu tych procedur oraz ich znaczenie dla procesu podejmowania decyzji medycznych.

The typology process is described in the methodology literature using various methods. The core differences consist in the formal conditions which the typology is required to meet and the process’s relations with multi-dimensional classifi cation. With the fi ndings established in this article, it is possible to describe the functions which typology and multi-dimensional classifi cation processes perform in medical diagnostics. The conclusions reached in this article have been illustrated with examples of the multi-dimensional typology which is applied in arterial hypertension diagnostics and Forrester’s multi-dimensional classifi cation for invasive cardiology. The examples discussed demonstrate the prognostic function of both procedures and their signifi cance for medical decision making.
