The article is aimed at material benefits and their relevance when compensating damage caused by bodily injury, including death. From the doctrinal point of view, the so-called compensatio lucri cum damno theory is concerned. The article mainly focuses on the different types of material benefits that may occur in personal injury cases and on their relevance when determining the amount of damages, all this based on their classification into groups characterized by similar features.

Podstatou článku je problematika majetkového prospěchu a jeho zohlednění při náhradě škody způsobené ublížením na zdraví včetně usmrcení. Z doktrinárního hlediska se jedná o tzv. teorii vyrovnání újmy prospěchem. Článek se zaměřuje na jednotlivé typy majetkových výhod, které se při majetkových újmách způsobených ublížením na zdraví mohou vyskytovat, a na úvahu o jejich zohlednění či pominutí při stanovení výše náhrady škody, a to na základě jejich zařazení do skupin vyznačujících se obdobnými markanty.
