Etyka dziennikarstwa to nie tylko problemem dziennikarzy, ponieważ jakość ich pracy tworzy jakość społeczeństwa. Jednak media i dziennikarze nie są odporni na nieetyczne praktyki. Tego typu nierzadkie relacje są nazywane ciemną stroną dziennikarstwa. Społeczeństwo oczekuje od dziennikarzy czegoś więcej niż tylko wiedzy zawodowej i sprawności technicznej. Nie sprzyja temu zaangażowanie mediów i dziennikarzy w nieetyczne praktyki zawodowe, w tym – w korupcję, czemu został poświęcony ten artykuł.

The ethics of journalism is not only a problem of journalists. The quality of journalistic work has an impact on the quality of society. Yet, the media and journalists are not resistant to unethical practices. These practices might be called the “dark side” of journalism. Society expects from journalists something more than just professional knowledge and technical efficiency. Media and journalists’ involvement in unethical practices, such as corruption, does not serve society.
