W artykule przeprowadzono krytyczną analizę dziesięciu lat funkcjonowania dotowanych ubezpieczeń upraw w Polsce, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich powszechności. W pracy zawarto także podstawowe wnioski, które zdaniem autorów mogłyby wspomóc upowszechnić ubezpieczenia upraw. W artykule autorzy odnieśli się również do proponowanych aktualnie zmian w regulacjach prawnych dotyczących dotowanych ubezpieczeń, które mogą mieć istotny wpływ na przyszły kształt rynku ubezpieczeń upraw w Polsce.

This paper conducted a critical analysis of 10 years’ operation of subsidized crop insurance in Poland with particular emphasis on the universality of insurance. The article contains basic proposals, which, according to the authors, could popularize crop insurance in Poland. The authors also analysed proposed changes in the regulations regarding subsidized insurance, which may have a significant impact on the future of the crop insurance market in Poland.
