In the antagonistic conflicts between sides with the equalized potential it is possible such a situation that none of the sides is able to win, nor to cut off the fight although their own forces are running out and thus increases the threat of self-destruction. This endless exchange of blows is escalating in time and causing more destruction and damage than profits. The unilateral initiative of armistice is impossible, because both fighters are afraid that it may be viewed as a symptom of weakness and incentive to intensify attacksIn their own ranks striving for agreement with the adversary may be condemned and obstructed as a betrayal. Then the vicious circle of the insoluble struggle sets the spiral of violence.

Artykuł podejmuje kwestię równie cenionej, co rzadko stosowanej naukowej współpracy interdyscyplinarnej. Jej brak jest szczególnie dotkliwy w badaniach bronioznawczych korzystających w dużym stopniu ze źródeł ikonograficznych i czerpiących informacje z opracowań z zakresu historii sztuki. Jeden z ważniejszych problemów wynikających z braku kontaktu między specjalistami można określić jako koło hermeneutyczne, kiedy historyk sztuki datuje malowidło na podstawie występowania jakiegoś elementu uzbrojenia, zaś bronioznawca opiera swoje datowanie użytkowania broni na podstawie podanej przez historyka sztuki daty powstania dzieła. Problem pogłębiany jest jednak zazwyczaj dodatkowo przez brak aktualnych publikacji czytelnych dla specjalistów obu dziedzin. Datowanie dzieł sztuki na podstawie obecności pewnego typu uzbrojenia i odwrotne wymagają bowiem dobrej orientacji w obu dziedzinach lub gruntownej współpracy interdyscyplinarnej.

Artykuł prezentuje różne postacie aksjomatu regularności (FA) oraz jego konsekwencje w systemie Zermelo-Fraenkla (ZFC). W pracy zasygnalizowane są pewne zastrzeżenia wobec FA oraz fakt, że nie jest on nieodzowny. Aksjomat ufundowania zachowuje swój apodyktyczny charakter tylko na gruncie teorii zbiorów regularnych – w innych przypadkach może nie być spełniony przez wszystkie zbiory. Jedna z najbardziej popularnych wersji FA nie może być traktowana jako miernik regularności zbiorów – nie oddaje ona bowiem w pełni ducha idei ufundowania

The paper presents different formulations of regularity axiom (FA) and its consequences in Zermelo-Fraenkel’s system (ZFC). Some objections to the axiom are emphasized and its indispensability is examined. It is also proved that FA in one of its formulations cannot be treated like a measure of sets regularity, because it doesn't meet the requirements that it was intended to meet.
