The aim of this paper is to analyze the functioning of voluntary pension programs in Poland, which are the third pillar of pension system, and point out the main proposed legal changes in their construction. The first part briefly describes the influences of demographical factors on pension benefits and the characteristicsthe basic features of pension programs. The second part is concerned with the areas in which the crucial improvements and changes are expected.
