Warunki życia a migracje w strefie suburbialnej Wrocławia

Around large cities it is easy to come across villages taking the character of the town sleeping area. One of the factors of this process is a desire to improve their quality of life by living in better conditions - regardless of the interpretation of the term by different social groups. The area of research will be suburban communes, located close to Wroclaw, which are in the process of suburbanisation. A relevant question of the research will be to determine the relationship of migration of the population to the suburban areas with regard to changes in living conditions. Level of living conditions will be determined on the basis of available statistical data using a synthetic indicator Hellwig. The study proved that communes with the highest index in a base year (over 0.4) recorded the highest growth of population - more than 20%.

Wokół dużych miast nietrudno napotkać miejscowości przybierające charakter sypialni miasta centralnego. Jednym z kluczowych czynników powodujących ten proces jest chęć poprawienia swojej jakości życia poprzez zamieszkanie w lepszych warunkach - niezależnie od interpretacji tego pojęcia przez poszczególne grupy społeczne. Obszarem badań były podwrocławskie gminy podlegające procesowi suburbanizacji. Istotne z punktu widzenia przedmiotowych badań było określenie zależności migracji ludności na obszary podmiejskie w odniesieniu do zmiany poziomu warunków życia. Poziom warunków życia został wyznaczony na podstawie dostępnych danych statystycznych: posłużono się tzw. syntetycznym wskaźnikiem Hellwiga. W badaniach wykazano, że gminy charakteryzujące się w roku bazowym najwyższym wskaźnikiem (ponad 0,4) odnotowały najwyższy przyrost ludności - ponad 20%.

Warunki, jakość i standard życia studentów z województwa podkarpackiego

The paper presents an assessment of conditions, quality of living for 190 students – residents of Podkarpackie province. The analysis was performed according to place of residence, gender, age and income per family member. A five-point Likert scale was used for evaluation. Podkarpackie province is one of the poorest regions in the EU structures. Students rated their living conditions at 3.41 points, 3.35 points as far as quality is concerned and the lowest was score of standard of living – 3.21 points.
