Care and education are equally important to children. In Europe early support services are organized in two ways: split systems and integrated systems. Split systems have proved to be unequal systems. Integrated systems on the other hand, offer flexible, part- and full-time services that link parental leave from the child’s birth, to entitlements to services from one year of age, which promote social inclusion and reduce child poverty. This article presents the analysis of child care and education systems from different European perspectives, including research concerning the role of the quality of early support services in the child’s development.

Pierwsze lata edukacji szkolnej są ważne w kontekście rozwoju osobistego i przyszłych losów jednostek. Konflikty, jakie pojawiają się w tym okresie na płaszczyźnie edukacyjnej, mogą mieć wpływ na osobowość i kształt relacji społecznych uczniów, zarówno aktualnych, jak i przyszłych. Gruntowne przyjrzenie się temu zagadnieniu oraz poświęcenie mu empirycznego wysiłku bez wątpienia pozostaje jednym z bardzo znaczących pedagogicznie zagadnień. „Konflikt” bowiem to pojęcie obejmujące swoim zasięgiem prawdopodobnie najważniejszą współcześnie problematykę wychowawczą, odnoszącą się do takich zjawisk, jak agresja i przemoc wśród dzieci i młodzieży. W artykule prezentowane są wyniki badań dotyczących postrzegania przez uczniów klas niższych sytuacji konfliktowych.

The first years of school education are vital in the context of personal development and the future fate of individuals. Conflicts which arise in this period at the educational level can influence the current and future personality and nature of students’ social relations. A detailed examination of this topic and application of empirical effort are certainly among the most pedagogically significant issues. The term ‘conflict’ covers probably the most important current problems of upbringing regarding such phenomena as aggression and violence among children and adolescents. The article presents the results of studies concerning perception of conflict situations by lower grade students.

The article consists of two parts. The first presents the implications for training early childhood music education teachers which arise from the theory of developmental psychology concerning Jerome Bruner’s system of representations. The author strives to point out that their proper under- standing appears to be essential to building a good teaching foundation for working with early childhood education students. With reference to the theory in question, the second part of the article discusses a modification of selected methods of conducting music education at the indicated stage of education in relation to the challenges connected with the necessity to work remotely. The author discusses examples of methodology in detail and suggests modifications. The aim of such treatment of the matter is to demonstrate that it is possible to retain the practical nature of educational efforts in spite of the unfavourable conditions that stem from the need to be isolated and work online.

Artykuł składa się z dwóch części. W pierwszej przedstawione zostają implikacje dla kształcenia nauczycieli wczesnej edukacji z zakresu edukacji muzycznej wynikające z teorii psychologii roz- wojowej dotyczącej systemu reprezentacji Jerome’a Brunera. Autor stara się zwrócić uwagę, iż właściwe ich rozumienie wydaje się kluczowe dla budowania dobrego podłoża dydaktycznego w pracy ze studentami kierunków wczesnej edukacji. W drugiej części artykułu w odniesieniu do przedstawionej teorii ukazana zostaje modyfikacja wybranych metod prowadzenia edukacji mu- zycznej na wskazanym etapie kształcenia, w odniesieniu do wyzwań związanych z koniecznością pracy zdalnej. Autor szczegółowo omawia wybrane przykłady metodyczne i proponuje ich modyfi- kacje. Celem zabiegu jest ukazanie możliwości zachowania praktycznego charakteru działań eduka- cyjnych mimo niesprzyjających warunków, jakie niesie za sobą konieczność izolacji i pracy online.
