The purpose of this article was the analysis of long-term unemployment. The study was one of the stages of a project realised by the Local Labour Office (PUP) in Sulęcin. It was based on the results of a survey of three groups of respondents: the long-term unemployed, local employers and the PUP workers. Close and open questions in the questionnaires concerned profiles of the unemployed, the desired soft and hard skills of the potential employees as well as the opinion about the market situation in general and its prospects of improvement. The survey has helped to write a profile of a long-term unemployed person. What is more, the contacts established among the Labour Office, local employers and the unemployed job-seekers can contribute to better coordination of measures taken in order to improve the situation on the local labour market.

Celem artykułu jest analiza długotrwałego bezrobocia, będąca etapem projektu realizowanego przez PUP w Sulęcinie. Oparto ją na wynikach ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród trzech grup respondentów: długotrwale bezrobotnych, pracodawców i pracowników PUP. Pytania zamknięte i otwarte w formularzach ankiet dotyczyły cech bezrobotnych, pożądanych umiejętności twardych i miękkich potencjalnych pracowników oraz oceny ogólnej sytuacji na rynku pracy i możliwości jej poprawy. Wynikiem badania jest charakterystyka sylwetki osoby długotrwale bezrobotnej. Kontakt pracowników urzędu pracy z pracodawcami i bezrobotnymi może sprzyjać koordynacji działań na rzecz poprawy sytuacji w powiecie.
