Tatrzański Park Narodowy jest jednym z najstarszych i najbardziej popularnych parków narodowych w Polsce. Chociaż jest on rocznie odwiedzany przez ponad 3 miliony turystów, niewielu z nich zdaje sobie sprawę z faktu występowania poważnych konfliktów społecznych na jego terenie. Początki konfliktów sięgają wieku XIV , kiedy to górale otrzymali na własność ziemie z nadania królewskiego. Ich główną przyczyną były zaś zmiany własnościowe gruntów związane z powstaniem TPN. W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiona została geneza, tło oraz historia konfliktu. Pokazane zostały również jego efekty i możliwe drogi rozwiązania.

Tatra National Park id one of the oldest and most popular paks in Poland. Although TNP is yearly visited by more than 3 milion tourists, hardly anyone realised, that very serious social conflict exists rtere. The conflict dates back to the 14th century, when pieces of land where granted to highlanders by royal charter. Changes in land property-rights connected with creating TNP were the main reason for that social conflict. Genesis, background and history of the conflict are shown in the paper. The author aims also at analyzing the effects of conflict and showing possible ways to settle it.
