W niniejszym artykule podjęto dyskusję na temat wpływu Narodowych Systemów Innowacji na dynamikę innowacji przełomowych. Nieskuteczność funkcjonowania mechanizmu rynkowego w środowisku innowacji przełomowych powoduje konieczność ingerencji państwa. Tworzenie NSI to próba stworzenia ram instytucjonalnych mających na celu wsparcie innowacyjności. Koncepcja narodowych systemów innowacji opiera się na założeniu, że innowacyjność poszczególnych krajów opiera się na założeniu, że zrozumienie zależności pomiędzy uczestnikami procesu innowacyjnego leży u podstaw rozwoju technologii. Innowacje i postęp technologiczny są efektem zależności pomiędzy aktorami, którzy produkują, dystrybuują i stosują różne rodzaje wiedzy. Dzięki takim cechom Narodowe Systemy Innowacji mogą stanowić proinnowacyjny instrument dla gospodarek o różnych charakterystykach.

In the hereby article the thesis has been proved that the dynamics of breakthrough innovation is being influenced by the National Innovation Systems. Market as the regulatory of innovation environment fails and state’s support in creating pro-innovation framework is needed. The concept of national innovation systems rests on the premise that understanding the linkages among the actors involved in innovation is key to improving technology performance. Innovation and technical progress are the result of a complex set of relationships among actors producing, distributing and applying various kinds of knowledge. Thanks to this feature they fit to any economy and cause their pro-innovation development.
