The article continues the subject published in the last issue of the journal “Studia Podlaskie”. This study describes the family’s history from the second half of the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century. The peak of its importance was connected with the activity of the cousins: the cup-bearer of the Bielsk Land, Krzysztof Stanisław (the son of Apollon) and the swordbearer of this land, Stanisław Jan (the son of Archilles). They owed their success to ties with the Branicki family, who after the death of Bogusław Radziwiłł became hegemons in the northern Podlasie.

Artykuł kontynuuje tematykę poruszoną w studium opublikowanym na łamach „Studiów Podlaskich” w poprzednim roczniku pisma. W tej części opracowania ukazane zostały losy rodziny od drugiej połowy XVII do początku XVIII w. Apogeum jej znaczenia wyznaczał okres aktywności stryjecznych braci: cześnika ziemi bielskiej Krzysztofa Stanisława, syna Apollona oraz miecznika tejże ziemi Stanisława Jana, syna Archillesa. Swoje powodzenie zawdzięczali oni związkom z Branickimi, po śmierci Bogusława Radziwiłła hegemonami na północnym Podlasiu.

The article analyzes the establishment, activity and liquidation of the Civil-Military Order Commission of the Bielsk Land in Podlasie, which existed in the years 1790–1792. The fragmentarily preserved research material does not allow to show the complete image of the activity of this collegial institution, established by the act of the parliament in December 1789. The Civil-Military Order Commission carried out the state’s instructions, covering all residents regardless of social origin and wealth. Its creation is the result of the efforts of some decision-makers to strengthen the country. The annex contains alist of commissioners.

Artykuł analizuje powołanie, organizację, działalność i likwidację Komisji Porządkowej Cywilno-Wojskowej Ziemi Bielskiej na Podlasiu, funkcjonującej w latach 1790–1792. Fragmentarycznie zachowany materiał badawczy nie pozwala na ukazanie pełnego obrazu pracy tej kolegialnej instytucji, powołanej mocą uchwały sejmowej z grudnia 1789 r. Komisja Porządkowa realizowała polecenia władz państwa w terenie, obejmując wszystkich mieszkańców bez względu na pochodzenie społeczne i zamożność. Jej powstanie to efekt dążeń części decydentów do wzmocnienia kraju. Aneks zawiera spis komisarzy.
