Efficiency of education is generally understood as being the degree of a graduate’s preparation for professional work. Its criterion is professional suitability, i.e. the adequacy of graduate’s knowledge and skills matching the requirements of the work environment, as well as the possibility of employment due to the acquired education. Educational effectiveness studies are used to monitor the quality of education and to better adapt scholastic competences to acquire to the labor market requirements. The article presents the results of an assessment of the efficiency of education during postgraduate studies in “Occupational Safety and health in the work environment”. Analyses show that qualifi cations and competences, which were obtained by the respondents, facilitate the objective of obtaining employment in the field of OSH, better earnings and professional stabilization. In the respondents’ opinion, completion of one's graduate studies strengthens their position as employees, giving them the opportunity to create professional plans for the future and to specialize in their professions.
