This study explores the impact of integrating Balinese local wisdom into discovery learning on students’ food literacy and culinary skills. A quasi-experimental design was conducted with 60 Culinary Arts students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received discovery learning integrated with Balinese local wisdom, while the control group followed the standard curriculum. Results showed significant improvements in food literacy (71.26 vs. 47.61; p=0.000) and culinary skills (84.17 vs. 74.00; p=0.000) in the experimental group. This study underscores the effectiveness of culturally responsive teaching in culinary education and calls for further research on its long-term impact.
