The article presents the genesis and determinants of the management adaptiveness in the modern organizations. The connections between organizational effectiveness and management adaptiveness have been described. The importance of the management adaptiveness considering modern conceptions and methods of management has been characterized. In the last part of the article the measures and tools used for measurement of management adaptiveness and their connections with valuation of the organizational effectiveness have been discussed.
The article is a trial of identification of the factors determining ineffectiveness and waste in the public sector. The factors are presented considering detailed and general aspects. The main attention is focused on detailed aspects presenting the conditions on the level of particular entities. The potential grounds of waste have been described such as: waste due to human, process, information, property, managerial reason. For each ground different kinds of waste have been presented. The importance of the presented factors for the studies on the effectiveness of the public sector has been discussed in the summary. The article is a part of wider studies performed by the author regarding the effectiveness of the public sector.
