The author refers to the defi nition of homo pecuniosus set by prof. Janina Filek and analyzes the scope of it in the context of business ethics. As a practitioner, he gives several examples taken from the real life of derivatives trading with different consequences of ethical or non-ethical behaviour. The final conclusion is that not only so called financiers, but all of us are homo pecuniosus and it may be a valuable concept when treated in a long-term sense.

Safety in transport can be defined both in the context of interruptions in supply and threats arising in the transport system (incorrect operation or deliberate attacks). Railway transport is not free from this type of risk, and therefore a polish railway crisis management system was created. The article begins with the definition of critical infrastructure (along with an indication of ways to protect it in Poland), as well as defining railway infrastructure as part of critical infrastructure. The second part of the article refers to the railway crisis management system and defines the entities creating it, internal documents, structure, tasks, and examples of exercises. The article ends with an assessment of the existence of the system.

Bezpieczeństwo w transporcie można określać zarówno w kontekście przerw w dostawach, jak i zagrożeń powstałych w systemie transportowym (niepoprawne działanie, czy celowe ataki). Transport kolejowy nie jest wolny od tego typu ryzyka, a zatem powstał w Polsce Kolejowy system zarządzania kryzysowego. Artykuł rozpoczyna się od zdefiniowania infrastruktury krytycznej, (wraz ze wskazaniem sposobów jej ochrony w Polsce), a także określenia infrastruktury kolejowej jako elementu infrastruktury krytycznej. Druga część artykułu odnosi się do kolejowego systemu zarządzania kryzysowego i określa podmioty go tworzące, dokumenty wewnętrzne, strukturę, zadania oraz przykłady ćwiczeń. Artykuł kończy się oceną istnienia systemu.
