The article is devoted to the health insurance of a child as a family member. It presents the legal situation in Poland. The examples of those with the ‘uninsured’ status had been analysed. It discusses the risks resulting from the lack of rights to the use of health care services financed from public funds .

Artykuł poświęcony jest ubezpieczeniu zdrowotnemu dziecka jako członka rodziny. Przedstawiono w nim stan prawny obowiązujący w Polsce. Przeanalizowano przykłady osób ze statusem nieubezpieczonego. Omówiono zagrożenia wynikające z braku uprawnień do korzystania ze świadczeń zdrowotnych finansowanych ze środków publicznych.
