The subject of the research presented in this article are lexical units that constitute a part of the linguistic repertoire available in the football variation of the Polish language. Based on a corpus extracted from internet sources, the author raises questions regarding the lexical structure of the mentioned environmental variant. An important point of analysis is the significance of individual lexical units in the context of their reception and their relationship with the general language, as well as the signs of linguistic creativity displayed by them (considered in terms of word formation and morphology). The entire study is illustrated with current examples collected online.

Przedmiotem badania przedstawionego w niniejszym artykule są jednostki leksykalne, stanowiące część repertuaru językowego dostępnego w piłkarskiej odmianie polszczyzny. W oparciu o korpus wyekscerpowany z źródeł internetowych autorka stawia pytania dotyczące struktury leksykalnej wspomnianego wariantu środowiskowego. Istotny punkt analizy stanowi znaczenie poszczególnych jednostek leksykalnych w kontekście ich recepcji i relacji z językiem ogólnym, jak również wykazywane przez nie znamiona kreatywności językowej (rozpatrywane w aspekcie słowotwórczym i morfologicznym). Całość badania została zilustrowana aktualnymi przykładami z sieci.

Every language reflects the attitudes and beliefs of its users. Feminization of language is a reflection of social changes that have been taking place for over a hundred years, following women’s entry into professional roles in areas previously dominated by men. Therefore, this study attempts to examine the solutions adopted or accepted in the use of feminatives in Polish and German. As the representation of women in various areas of public life is increasing, so does the number of feminine names of professions, functions, and activities performed by women in contemporary Polish and German language. The following study focuses on these changes in the grammatical-gender system, examining the language used in public and commercial media. In the quantitative-qualitative study undertaken, feminine occupational forms present in television news programs broadcast by Polish and German public and commercial stations were analyzed in a linguistic context. The main goal of the study was to answer the following questions: What linguistic asymmetries regarding women exist in the Polish language, and do they also appear in the German language? Is the (in)equality in the treatment of women visible in the media on a linguistic level? If so, where is it more evident: in Polish or German, and in public or commercial media?
