Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie głównych problemów ekologicznych związanych z działalnością transportową, opis narzędzi oraz działań podejmowanych przez Polskę oraz Unię Europejską w celu ograniczenia negatywnego wpływu tej działalności na środowisko naturalne, a także ukazanie istoty i roli integracji europejskiej w drodze do zrównoważonego rozwoju.

The main aim of this paper is to presents primary ecological problems which are related to transport activity, and the description of tools and operations undertaken by Poland and European Union to reduce the negative impact of this activity on the natural environment. Moreover this article presents the role of the European integration on the way to the sustainable development.
