Article present basic moral order in mass media. Media education towards the culture of being rests on an integral link between professional journalism development and culture together with sensitivity to values. Transmission of journalism knowledge about should be linked with the mode of openness to the truth about reality and should shape ethics-oriented sensitivity. Development of media science should be in accord with development of moral life, so that fruits of science be good for men and the ethos and culture of life be reinforced. This also concerns the media, whose task is to pass the truth about reality without tendencies which shape public opinion but have no justification in the facts.

This article attempts to offer several keys to understand the process and considerable role of mass media in shaping public opinion. This analysis is based on core values which are very important in integral social development. These values e.g.: right to communicate, concern for human life, value of family, responsibility, society and peace, role of morality, religion and the Church and the consequences of natural law are independent of religion and confession. The article presents the factors that facilitate the correct process of shaping the public opinion. This article also introduces the role of elites and opinion leaders in shaping the public opinion based on the dialogue, competence, good values, and ethos. The text focuses on how mass media through their interpretation of the reality can use manipulation techniques, hindering access to truth and making it difficult to understand the news; they may distort the reality and negatively influence the public opinion – this issue is also briefly presented in the text.

This article attempts to offer several keys to understand the relation and reference between religious values and temporal social order and its political dimension. The Pope, on the basis of the autonomy of temporary realities, recognizes a positive role of religion in public life. In a secular state presence of religion in the public sphere becomes not only necessary for the state to remain secular (not laic), but it is an invaluable resource in civil society. Catholicism accepts the secularism of the state and politics, but it does not agree with the reduction of Christianity to the private sphere, since there is no connection between the two. The principle of secularism may thus mean that the state is secular, but one should not attempt to make it laic, that is try to exclude the public role of religion in a democratic state.

The author presents the structure of international affairs in thought Jan Paul II. Issue ethics are the fundamental and universal normative system, that regulate international relations. The article begins with the description of levels at which ethics in international relations is present (rational human nature, states, of international community). Fundamental issue based on national human nature and ability to recognize moral order in social human nature. The author attempts to explain what rational moral order has a positive influence on creation: nation, state and international community. This knowledge help to develop legal system, which observe international institutions. Finally the author analyses the reasons for growing importance of the ethics as well as the obstacles in that process.
