W związku z dynamicznym rozwojem firmy Stora Enso oraz rosnącym zapotrzebowaniem na papiery pakowe w Europie, zarząd spółki podjął w 2011 roku decyzję o zainwestowaniu w Ostrołęce prawie pół miliarda euro w nowoczesną linię produkcyjną. Głównym celem nowej linii było zagospodarowanie rocznie 500 tys. ton makulatury z rynku surowców wtórnych oraz przetworzenie jej ponownie na papiery pakowe typu fluting oraz liner, które są głównymi składnikami tektury falistej.

Due to the dynamic development of the Stora Enso company and the increasing demand for wrapping paper in Europe, in 2011 the company’s management decided to invest in Ostrołęka almost half a billion euros in a modern production line. The main objective of the new line was recycling 500 thousand tons of waste paper from the recyclables market annually and transform it again into wrapping paper of the fluting and liner type, the main components of corrugated cardboard.
