People with disabilities, apart from health problems, usually face social, occupational and economic constraints. To improve their lives, institutions are established in order to perform rehabilitation, support activities and provide financial support, as well as non-institutional activities, mainly within self-help groups. The purpose of the article is to show what forms of disability assistance are available and to what extent they provide normal lives for people with disabilities. What is more, this paper analyses expenditures on disabled people and assesses whether these resources are sufficient to provide the disabled people with help they need. The territorial scope of the article includes the Municipal Social Assistance Centre located in Jarosław, and the chronological range covers 2013-2015 period. The main research method used for the needs and realisation of the accepted research objectives was the analysis of the content of the documents and the descriptive method.

It also reflects the results of research looking at violence against the elderly, through the eyes of younger people. This article is devoted to the research findings of the violence against children by their own parents and legal norms by preventing and limiting violence towards other person which are in force in the Slovak Republic.

The article focuses on the presentation of the results of empirical research in counsellors in the field of social counselling and psychological counselling. The research focused on the factors that are important for the development of boundary violations, on the perception of boundary violations on the side the counsellor side and on the client side, on measures/procedures that counsellors took in solving problems of boundary violations between counsellor and client.

The author of the article is devoted to research findings on the attitudes of poor parents to the education of their children in the northern region of Slovakia. Parents who are in a state of material need and receive a benefit in material need according to the applicable laws in the Slovak Republic are considered to be parents for the needs of research.
