Autorzy artykułu omawiają w sposób maksymalnie przystępny dla czytelnika stymulację czasową serca. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie zasad, metod oraz wskazań do zastosowania stymulacji czasowej mięśnia sercowego, z uwzględnieniem podłoża patofizjologicznego oraz niektórych wybranych wskazań do stymulacji serca na stałe. Pozwoli to na wdrożenie właściwego postępowania terapeutycznego adekwatnego do sytuacji klinicznej.

The authors of present paper elaborate the temporary pacemaker therapy. The aim of the article was to highlight the principles, methods and indications for the use of temporary cardiac pacing with regard to patophysiological background and selected indications for permanent pacing. This will provide an optimal cardiostimulation adequate to the clinical situation.
