The paper presents K. Twardowski’s concept of representation and his division into the act, contents and the object. With the problem of representation is correlated the topic of names and their functions, and the so-called “objectless representations”. It also brings up translation controversies associated with the translation of the German term “Vorstellung” to Polish, among other things, in the title of Schopenhauer’s main work.

В статье представлена концепция представления К. Твардовского и его деление на акт, содержание и предмет. Рассматривается скоррелированная с представлением проблема и функции имен, а также так называемых «беспредметных представлений». Затрагиваются также трудности, связаные с переводом на польский язык немецкого термина „Vorstellung” среди прочего в названии основного произведения Артура Шопенгауэра.
