The word globalization is nowadays a commonly accepted and used term. However, it is not easy to determine what the term really means. The main issue, therefore, seems to be the distinction between the phenomenon of globalization and globalism. Globalization is a process that is related to the development of information technology and technical progress. Meanwhile, the term globalism is an ideology that aims to unify and subordinate economics, as well as culture and religion to the world center. In this article, the Authors will reflect on the issues related to the phenomenon of globalization by explaining the concepts and characteristics and an indicating the ideology of globalism.
