The research shows that 80% of adolescents who attempt to commit suicide give beforehand the signs of how they feel. However, many symptoms are often ignored by their environment (Czabański, 2006, pp. 55-59). Therefore sensitivity to those symptoms, empathy, understanding and ability to notice the signs of the people who think of taking their own life are of great importance. Psychological knowledge and experience in listening to other people are also very important. Surely we cannot let the society to treat those people as if they were bizarre or eccentric and we definitely cannot let others to laugh at them. The nonspeech or ignoring signs and symptoms of someone’s suicidal tendencies are also dangerous. Such behaviour may only make the suffering worse and quicken the suicide.
