Fixed-route networks constitute a category of transport infrastructure systems. As a fixed-route transport system subgroup they present a combination of transport solutions related in terms of operating properties. Owing to prop-erty criteria systematization, an analysis of the fixed-route system regarded as a part of a fixed-route network catego-ry is of higher cognitive value than a separate, fragmentary examination of its particular representatives.

Railway traffic simulation, taking into account operation and maintenance conditions, is not a new issue in the literature. External effects in such networks (e.g. level crossings) were not taken into account in studies. The used models do not take into account sufficiently the process of degradation and recovery of the network. From the technical side, currently carried out simulations are made using similar approaches and techniques as in the initial stage of research. Well-established work in this area could be the basis for evaluation of new solutions. However, the progress in simulation tools during the last years, especially in performance and programming architecture, attempts to create a modern simulation tool. In the paper were presented the main assumptions for the evaluated event-based simulation method, with application to stiff-track transportation networks.

Postęp informatyczny wytycza nowe kierunki działań we współczesnym świecie. Techniki informacyjne są nieodzownym elementem w życiu człowieka zarówno w pracy, jak i w domu. Świadomy wybór technik informatycznych ma przede wszystkim zadanie wspomagania dyrektora szkoły i jego współpracowników w pracach związanych zarówno z administracją, jak i zarządzaniem. Wybór oprogramowania ma ogromne znaczenie, gdyż pozwala w przyszłości uniknąć sytuacji związanych z brakiem kompatybilności użytkowanych programów. Niniejsza praca prezentuje możliwości użycia nowoczesnych technik informacyjnych, które mogą być wykorzystane m.in. w obszarze szeroko pojmowanego zarządzania szkołą przez współczesnego dyrektora-menedżera. Zrozumienie ich roli i akceptacja tych technik stanowi jeden z podstawowych atrybutów sukcesu we współczesnym świecie edukacji. W pracy zamieszczono opis komponentów pakietu MS Office 365, powszechnie wykorzystywanego zarówno w domu, jak i w pracy, oraz platformy Vulcan, której głównym zadaniem jest wspomaganie pracy w szkole. Zamieszczono również opisy przydatnych i ważnych z punktu widzenia dyrektora/ nauczyciela stron internetowych. Przedstawione w pracy przykłady dają możliwość współpracy i są ze sobą w pełni kompatybilne, jeśli chodzi zarówno o pakiet MS Office 365 i platformę Vulcan

IT progress sets new directions for activities in the modern world. Information technology is an indispensable element in people’s lives, both at work and at home. A conscious choice of IT has, above all, the task of assisting the the school principal and his coworkers in both administrative and management work. The choice of software is of great importance in order to avoid future situations of incompatibility. This paper presents the possibilities for the use of modern information technologies, which can be used, among other things, in the area of broadly understood school management by the contemporary headmaster – manager. Understanding their role and acceptance of these techniques is one of the basic attributes of success in the contemporary world of education. The paper includes a description of the components of the MS Office 365 package, commonly used both at home and at work, and the Vulcan platform, whose main task is to support work at school. Descriptions of useful and important websites from the principal’s/teacher’s point of view are also included. The examples presented in the paper provide opportunities for collaboration and are fully compatible with each other in terms of both MS Office 365 and the Vulcan platform.
