The aim of the article is to provide an up-to-date view of the issue of seniors, from a slightly different angle. Not to stigmatize the elderly only as a group of people who burden the social system year after year, demanding better pension security and a better pension policy, but to show the elderly in different situations – as economically active, to evaluate their age and share of the total population, what is their marital status, but also to watch as partners who have not yet resigned to their lives and are still thinking about the future. The aim is also to point out that the aging of the population is indeed a process that continues and deepens, not only in the Czech Republic, but it is necessary to emphasize that not only seniors contribute to this situation, but also, for example, the decline in the birth rate. It is necessary to take into account the state and level of our society, which, with its social and housing policy and approach to young families, does not create an ideal and perspective pro-population concept. The article will use methods of analysis, comparison and description in the text.
