Przedmiotem artykułu jest kreacja Honoriusza Balzaca w dramacie Jarosława Iwaszkiewicza Wesele pana Balzaka. Analizie poddane zostały dialogi różnych postaci dramatu odnoszące się do francuskiego powieściopisarza oraz wypowiedzi samego Honoriusza Balzaca. Badania te pokazały, za pomocą jakich środków i w jaki sposób autor dramatu tworzy wieloaspektowy i zgłębiony psychologicznie portret wielkiego twórcy.

The subject of the article is the role of Honorius Balzac in the drama by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz The Wedding of Mr. Balzac. Dialogues of various characters of the drama were analysed referring to the French novelist and the statements of Honorius himself Balzac. These studies showed by what means and how the author of the drama creates a multifaceted and psychologically deep portrait of the great artist.

W artykule ukazano wizerunki matek z wybranych utworów Marii Kuncewiczowej. Analiza zebranego materiału pokazała, jak pisarka kreuje zewnętrzność bohaterek, a przede wszystkim, jak tworzy ich portrety psychologiczne, często skomplikowane odbiegające od utartych schematów. Zwrócono uwagę na zastosowane środki językowe służące do kreacji i indywidualizacji przedstawianych postaci.

The article shows the images of mothers from selected works of Maria Kuncewiczowa. The analysis of the collected material showed how the writer creates the external character of the heroines, and above all, how she creates their psychological portraits, often complicated, deviating from the usual patterns. The attention was paid to the language means used to create and personalize the presented figures.

The subject of the article is the role of Aleksander Pushkin in Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz’s drama Masquerade. The analysis covers mainly statements by Pushkin himself and other characters relating to the Russian poet. This allowed us to show what means and how the author of the play creates a psychologically profound portrait of a great artist.
