The aim of this study is to examine the individual therapy scenes in The Sopranos TV series, which was screened between 1999–2007, in terms of helping skills and to create a sample material that can be used in skill teaching. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Research data were collected from the individual therapy scenes in 86 episodes of the six seasons of the TV series The Sopranos. The intercoder reliability coefficients in the analysis of the data were calculated to be between .85 and .96. As a result of the study, it was found, that the individual therapy scenes of The Sopranos represent a supportive sample material that can be used in the teaching of reflection of content and feelings, confrontation and self-referencing skills. As a result, The Sopranos TV series can be used as supporting material in teaching the mentioned helping skills.
