The article presents a theme of art and artist, contained in novels and short stories of Tadeusz Nowakowski. The protagonists of his prose are the journalists and – at the same time – unrealised writers. They are depended on despotic boss and have no time to write artistic prose. Relations between fiction and biography of Nowakowski enable to identify (obviously, not quite fully) the characters with its empirical author. Nowakowski perceives this space of his creative activity as a substitute for autobiography.

The subject matter of the article is the admissibility of concluding civil law contracts to employ teachers, considering the specific character of this occupational group. A change in the regulations regarding the ban on employing teachers under such contracts encourages reflection and some comments on its legitimacy. The author describes the benefits gained from this modification by teachers employed at non-public schools, as well as the losses potentially suffered by employers. The change in the law came into force on 1 September 2018 and is viewed differently by headteachers and regular teachers. In the final part of the article, the author presents her own opinion on this issue.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest dopuszczalność stosowania umów cywilnoprawnych do zatrudniania nauczycieli w kontekście specyfiki tej grupy zawodowej. Zmiana w przepisach dotyczących zakazu zatrudniania nauczycieli na podstawie tych umów skłania do refleksji i skomentowania jej zasadności. Autorka charakteryzuje korzyści, jakie płyną dla nauczycieli szkół niepublicznych w związku z tą modyfikacją, oraz straty, jakie mogą ponieść pracodawcy. Omawiana zmiana weszła w życie 1 września 2018 r. i jest różnie oceniana przez dyrektorów szkół niepublicznych, jak i przez samych nauczycieli. W końcowej części artykułu autorka formułuje własną opinię na ten temat.

This article presents a picture of emigration, contained in novels and short stories of Tadeusz Nowakowski. Polish emigrants are passive and divided; they wait for a change – fall of communism in Polish People’s Republic. They live “in the past” , in the circle of remembrances and dream about independence Poland. Nowakowski shows faults of Poles in exile, but he troubles about their future.

This article presents a range and ways of existence of an autobiographic space in short stories of Gustaw Herling-Grudziński. The starting point of this article is the thesis about the connection between places and landscapes being described an author’s mythical space of his childhood – the region of Kielce. As it turns out, components of that space can be found in many descriptions of the places that are connected with the following stages of Grudziński’s life, especially with forty-fiveyears he had lived in Italy.

The aim of this article is to show the relation between the author and the narrator in the short stories of Gustaw Herling-Grudziński. The roles, in which the storyteller presents himself (the polish emigrant, the writer, the journalist and the ailing old man) as well as the characters introduced to the stories have their origin in the author’s biography. They enable to identify (obviously not quite fully) the narrator with its empirical author. Herling perceives this space of his creative activity as a substitute for autobiography. This, in turn, allows not only to select the biographical material but also to discover behind the curtain of literary fiction.

On December 3, 2020, via the Zoom Webinar platform, the 3rd National Scientific Conference in the series "Non-typical employment relations" was held on the subject of "Temporary employment as an atypical form of work - opportunities and threats". The conference was organized by the Center for Nontypical Employment Relations, operating at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz. This report has a framework character due to the volume limit. The full version of the report can be found on the Center's website.

3 grudnia 2020 r. za pośrednictwem platformy Zoom Webinar odbyła się III Ogólnopolska Konferencja Naukowa z cyklu „Nietypowe stosunki zatrudnienia” pt. „Zatrudnienie tymczasowe jako nietypowa forma świadczenia pracy - szanse i zagrożenia”. Organizatorem konferencji było Centrum Nietypowych Stosunków Zatrudnienia działające na Wydziale Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego. Sprawozdanie ma charakter ramowy z uwagi na limit objętości. Pełną jego wersję będzie można znaleźć na stronie Centrum.
