The article analyses the story of Dr Georg Eisenlohr (1881–1951). It charts the career path of a German official, from local starost in Münsingen to vice-governor in the German-occupied General Government. Dismissed by von Burgsdorff from this post, he was transferred to Przemyśl as starost and then left for the Reich. After the war he was interned and released to Poland in 1947. He was sentenced to five years' imprisonment by the Regional Court of Krakow and died in 1951. The story of Georg Eisenlohr shows the entanglement of a lower-level official in the apparatus of terror in the General Government; moreover, he is a little-known figure in Polish historiography.

Artykuł analizuje historię dr. Georga Eisenlohra (1881–1951). Ukazuje ścieżkę kariery niemieckiego urzędnika, od lokalnego starosty w Münsingen do wicegubernatora w okupowanym przez Niemców Generalnym Gubernatorstwie. Zwolniony przez von Burgsdorffa z tego stanowiska przeniesiony został na starostę do Przemyśla, a potem wyjechał do Rzeszy. Po wojnie był internowany i wydany Polsce w 1947 roku. Został skazany przez Okręgowy Sąd w Krakowie na pięć lat więzienia, zmarł w 1951 roku. Historia Georga Eisenlohra ukazuje uwikłanie urzędnika niższego szczebla w aparat terroru w Generalnym Gubernatorstwie, co więcej – jest to postać mało znana w polskiej historiografii.
