This article aims to answer the question of whether the workshop can be an effective method of teaching business language to English Philology students and what benefits and risks it entails. Based on observation and interview, it was found that the workshop has benefited from the perspective of knowledge and skill development (e.g. editing correspondence, using professional terminology, resultant reading of specialised texts) and from the perspective of social competence (e.g. building relationships, cooperating in a group, working independently, dealing with new situations). The study also identified risks, such as less time for standard lexical work, reduction of the theory part, exposure to conflicts, and stressful situations requiring additional support from the teacher.

Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie, czy warsztat może być efektywnym sposobem nauczania języka biznesu studentów filologii angielskiej oraz jakie korzyści i ryzyka się z tym wiążą. Na podstawie obserwacji i wywiadu ustalono, że warsztat niesie ze sobą korzyści z perspektywy rozwoju wiedzy i umiejętności (np. redagowanie korespondencji, posługiwanie się terminologią fachową, wynikowe czytanie tekstów specjalistycznych) oraz z perspektywy kompetencji społecznych (np. budowanie relacji, współpraca w grupie, praca samodzielna, radzenie sobie w nowych sytuacjach). Badanie ujawniło również zagrożenia, takie jak mniej czasu na standardową pracę z leksyką, ograniczenie części teoretycznej, narażenie studentów na konflikty i stresujące sytuacje, które mogą wymagać dodatkowego wsparcia ze strony nauczyciela.
