The article concerns the issue of changes in the demographic potential in rural areas, including trends in population changes and transformations in the demographic structure. A positive phenomenon is the increasing life expectancy of Poland's inhabitants, but at the same time there is an aging process of the population. Currently, the rural population is realizing their educational aspirations by increasing the level of education and reducing educational differences in relation to the population in cities. Actions to popularize adult education have become important, both by improving accessibility and by raising awareness of the benefits of lifelong learning and acquiring civilization competences, including improving digital skills. The aim of the publication is to analyze the demographic potential in rural areas, to analyze the level of formal education of rural residents, including issues related to adult education and digital skills of the rural population compared to urban residents. It is also an attempt to define the profile of a rural resident in Poland at the threshold of the third decade of the 21st century and the changes that have taken place in this area over the last twenty years, also under the influence of the COVID- 19 pandemic, which has deepened the unfavorable trends of society aging in Poland and Europe.

Artykuł dotyczy problematyki zmian potencjału demograficznego na obszarach wiejskich, obejmujących tendencje zmian ludności i przeobrażeń w strukturze demograficznej. Pozytywnym zjawiskiem jest wydłużanie się długości życia mieszkańców Polski, ale jednocześnie występuje proces starzenia się populacji. Obecnie ludność wiejska realizuje swoje edukacyjne aspiracje podwyższając poziom wykształcenia i zmniejszając różnice edukacyjne w odniesieniu do ludności w miastach. Ważne stały się działania na rzecz upowszechniania edukacji dorosłych polegające zarówno na poprawie dostępności, jak i na uświadamianiu korzyści uczenia się przez całe życie oraz zdobywanie kompetencji cywilizacyjnych, w tym doskonalenie umiejętności cyfrowych. Celem publikacji jest analiza potencjału demograficznego na obszarach wiejskich, analiza poziomu wykształcenia formalnego mieszkańców wsi, w tym także kwestii związanych z edukacją dorosłych oraz umiejętnościami cyfrowymi ludności wiejskiej w porównaniu z mieszkańcami miast. Jest to także próba określenia sylwetki mieszkańca wsi w Polsce w progu trzeciej dekady XXI wieku i zmian jakie dokonały się w tym zakresie przez ostatnie dwudziestolecie, także pod wpływem pandemii COVID-19, która pogłębiła niekorzystne trendy starzenia się społeczeństwa w Polsce i Europie.

During recent years, the development of professional competencies is more frequently linked with the processes of performance, evaluation and career development of the human capital. Their formation requires focused actions to improve particular knowledge, skills and abilities. The analysis of the status and trends in the professional competences of the human capital in the agricultural sector in Bulgaria reveals a number of opportunities for their effective use and management. The purpose of this article is to outline the professional competences of the human capital in the agricultural sector by analysing and presenting the trends in their development. The study covers the period between January and November 2015. It is based on data from polls specially designed for the purpose of the analysis, direct contacts, corporate documentation, etc. The interviews are applied to specify the data and information. The issues and prospects for the development of professional competences of the human capital in agriculture are presented and rated according to the responses received.

W ostatnich latach rozwój kompetencji zawodowych jest coraz częściej związany z wynikami i oceną kapitału ludzkiego oraz rozwojem kariery. Tworzenie kapitału ludzkiego wymaga działań skoncentrowanych na poprawie konkretnej wiedzy, konkretnych umiejętności i zdolności. Analiza stanu i kierunków rozwoju kompetencji zawodowych kapitału ludzkiego w sektorze rolnym Bułgarii ukazuje wiele możliwości jego skutecznego wykorzystania i zarządzania. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu zidentyfikowanie kompetencji zawodowych kapitału ludzkiego w sektorze rolnym przez analizę i prezentację kierunków jego rozwoju. Praca obejmuje okres od stycznia do listopada 2015 r. Opiera się na danych zaczerpniętych z ankiet specjalnie zaprojektowanych do tego celu oraz na bezpośrednich kontaktach, dokumentacji firmowej itd. Do sprecyzowania danych i informacji zastosowano metodę wywiadu. Problemy i możliwości rozwoju kompetencji zawodowych kapitału ludzkiego w rolnictwie zaprezentowano i oceniono według otrzymanych odpowiedzi.
