Sustainable development of rural areas can be seen as the desirable direction of the social and the economic model of the rural resources management. Its social dimension, understood as the seeking of new behaviour and thinking standards about needs not only in the one nation perspective, is one of the most important conditions of the sus-tainable development assumptions fullfiling.

Zrównoważony rozwój terenów wiejskich może być postrzegany jako pożądany kierunek społecznego i gospodarczego modelu zarządzania zasobami rolnictwa. Społeczny wymiar tego rozwoju, rozumiany jako poszukiwanie nowych wzorców postępowania i myślenia o potrzebach nie tylko w perspektywie jednego pokolenia, jest ważnym warunkiem spełnienia jego założeń.
