The article constitutes an attempt at construction of a scheme for researches on factors and relations occuring between them, which determine organizational solutions of contemporary industrial systems treated as relatively isolated cybernetic systems. Organization is treated as a system or a set of interlinked subsystems and relations occuring between them. Proceeding from the systems position there are generally distinguished two sets of variables, which should be taken into consideration in researches. These are intra-org»nization variables i.e. tasks, people, technology, organizational structure, and variables of organization's context i.e. the environment treated in its many aspects. Each of these variables was defined and there are discussed its ties with the remaining subsystems. Changes occuring within the organization are analyzed at two levels: adaptation of the system to the environment co-operating with it, and preservation of equilibrium between variables within the organization. A great deal of attention is paid by the author to analysis of potential correlations occuring between the above mentioned variables. Advisability of existence of industrial systems drew, however, the author's attention to the problem of formation of real states and relations between variables, which should be a result of consciously made decisions. Fulfilment of this postulate accounted for addition to the model of relations between the distinguished variables of the subsystem "managerial decisions", which should perform within the organization a function of steering agent in the field of shaping desirable states and relations between the analyzed subsystems from the viewpoint of implementation of the set targets.
