The article analyzes the gravestone inscriptions in Burgenland Croatian villages located on the territory of southern Slovakia and Western Hungary. These villages were surveyed during three ethnolinguistic expeditions in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Identifies the main parameters that may vary in the structure of gravestone inscriptions: language of accompanying titles, possible spelling inclusions in the structure of Croatian inscriptions, the order of name and surname of the anthroponym, Croatian / not Croatian version of the name, writing feminitives and transferring the final in the Croatian surnames on -ić. According these parameters compared the gravestone inscriptions is mainly the post-war period, recorded respectively in the North, middle and South Gradishte. It is shown that the Northern Burgenland (South Slovakia) is characterized by the greatest variability in the epitaphs, while the Hungarian influence is not the determining factor, the Average Burgenland is characterized by archaic elements in the structure of epitaphs and a special form of feminitives and South Burgenland is largely influenced by the Hungarian cultural and linguistic tradition. The variation in the transmission of the finale in surnames on -ić is maximally represented in the Northern Burgenland and gradually decreases from North to South, reaching a minimum in Petrovo Selo, the southernmost of the surveyed villages.
