The article presents a range of libraries run independently or in partnership by the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and the U.S. Consulate General in Krakow. The libraries provide collections of fiction and popular science books, audiovisual collections, on-line databases and other materials that focus on the United States. The libraries also organize cultural and educational events featuring the heritage and culture of the United States. The libraries differ in their offer and target audience. Four different types of such facilities can be listed: the American Information Centers, American Corners, America@yourlibrary and Young Learners Resource Centers.
