In the First Letter of St. Paul as in John's Apocalypse, there exists a very elear tendency to link the universal priesthood of Christians with the concept of dignity of the Kingdom. This joining points out that even the universal priesthood ought to be understood prlmarily as the highest honor and distinction for Christians. This results from the direct closeness of God, similar to that which in the cult of the Old Covenant was reserved only for priests. As a result of Redemption, it became on the other band a participation of all baptized without exception. This closeness is for man the privilege comparable with royal dignity, and so the highest that man can reach. It is also an expression of the great love of God to man and that is why it comprises the challenge to the highest perfection and sanctity of life. The universal priesthood, which is a privilege of all the baptized, certainly must not be mistaken with the sacramental priesthood, set for the special service among the people of God. The above analyzed texts from the First Letter of St. Peter and John's Apocalypse do not contain teachings on this topic.

In the First Letter of St. Peter we find a clear temporal direction toward a final reward, which will be a divine exaltation and appreciation. Its time is always specified as καιρός, as a concrete moment, a point in time. Otherwise χρόνος, as durative time, always specifies the time of earthly existence, especially from the beginning of Christian life. It is directed toward the final and definitive καιρός. This temporal direction is especially visible in many terms with the preposition εἰς, as hope, heritage in heaven, salvation, exaltation, appreciation, light, and the glory of God. These are especially frequent in the initial part of the Petrine Letter.

Although all the Evangelists speak about the two criminals crucified with Jesus, it is only Luke’s Gospel to describe the dialog of crucified Jesus with so-called good malefactor. Jesus is promising him to go today to Paradise. In this way the converted malefactor is the first man saved by the crucified Lord. In the whole Lucan Gospel he is a very important example of the divine mercy visible in the salvation.

Choć wszyscy czterej ewangeliści opowiadają o dwóch złoczyńcach ukrzyżowanych wraz z Jezusem, to jednak tylko Łukasz podaje rozmowę ukrzyżowanego Jezusa z jednym z nich.

This paper discusses a historical evolution of the concept of solidarity: from its clearly anti-ecclesiastical sense up to its entirely Christian conception. The concept itself is of French origin and it designates close and active social cooperation in attaining common objectives. The notion was frequently evoked by the 19th-century social movements and used as an antithesis for the Christian teaching about the love of the neighbour. The sense of the notion changed with the rise of the anticommunist protests of the Polish workers in the late 20th century, who chose Solidarity for the name of their trade union. An important role in promoting the changed idea of solidarity was played by the moral authority of the Blessed John Paul II, who incorporated this notion in his teaching and developed it further.
